I hate waiting. [Thumbs D]
I just ordered a set of Pirelli PZero Neros for my car. They won't be in stock until July 24th. Not a terrible wait, but long enough. I'm into instant gratification. :-/
The Conti Contacts on my car are getting really loud. I can't believe how fast they went from ok to noisy. I have no confidence in them when it's raining either. Can't wait for the Pirellis. If the PZeros are anywhere near as good as the Pirelli snows I have, I'll be a happy puppy. :-D
BTW, I went to TireRack by clicking on the link on the main page. Don't know if it does anything for you or not.

Cool! It might, depending on the final price.

Rats. The Pirellis I wanted won't be in for another couple of months. :-( I can't wait that long, so I ordered Conti Extreme Contacts instead. I was considering the Michelin Pilots, but they're $250 more and I can't see that they'd be worth the extra $$$ for mostly highway driving.

You'll be fine with the Conti's. I know michelin makes great tires -- but you can get something just as good for much less money.

Got the new tires mounted on Saturday. I put about 75 miles on them. They're way quieter than my old tires, but still make a very low rumbling noise. It's almost too quiet to hear, but it's there. And depending on the pavement, they "sing" a bit right at 80MPH indicated. If I go a tad faster (which I always do) it goes away. What I like best, though, is that the car is rock stable at speed now. It used to be a bit squirrelly. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied. Now to see how well they wear. 8-)

It will probably get quieter (or possibly even louder). My tires are horrible in rain though. I have crappy coopers (thanks jon :-p) that arent even the right rating. They did fine in the snow but the car wanders all over the place with a remote amount of rain.

eric, be happy they are not cheap kumhos (what I have), I almost ran over a hydrant going less than 5 mph last winter and everytime it rains, I can drift on almost every corner with giving it just a bit more gas and don't even start me on braking. One good thing is that they were cheap and are good in dry weather.

Yea well it seemed that a bad alignment caused the wear http://www.bmwchannel.com/bb/images/smilies/vb_fyou.gifhttp://www.bmwchannel.com/bb/images/smilies/vb_fyou.gifhttp://www.bmwchannel.com/bb/images/smilies/vb_fyou.gifhttp://www.bmwchannel.com/bb/images/smilies/vb_fyou.gifhttp://www.bmwchannel.com/bb/images/smilies/vb_fyou.gifhttp://www.bmwchannel.com/bb/images/smilies/vb_fyou.gif http://www.bmwchannel.com/bb/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif
