View Full Version : High Beams blowing fuses

My high beams like to blow the fuse. I change the fuse and it blows, I change the fuse and it blows, I try a different fuse, it blows. Anyone have any idea why?

Maybe the bulbs are of higher wattage than the stock ones or you have a short in the circuit. Try taking out your bulbs and then turning on your high beams, if that blows the fuse, you've got a short, if it doesn't, you either have to replace the bulbs and don't have a short, or you don't have to replace those bulbs and have a short, or you do have to replace the bulbs and have a short. Maybe you should put in that highbeam you took out for a CAI [hammer] :-P

heh yeah that's the other wierd thing, you'd think that it should be underpowered or the single high beam would burn out way before the fuse does.
