The New M5

Alright, so Im giving back my car in about 12.5 months and Im seriously considering (or at least hoping that I can be seriously considering) the M5 in 2005.

So a couple of questions, anyone have any specs on the car, all I know is that its planned for 500hp. Any ideas on when the first ones will be in production, any have any spy shots or preview pics?

All I know right now is that the current M5 should do 0-60 in 4.4 seconds at 333 bhp. I could be wrong, though. Let me do some homework. [idea]


EDIT: Perhaps it's 5.4 seconds instead of 4.4. ???

I don't have any for any newer M5's, though. I might have to dig deeper for projected specs...but it could take a while.

I'm hearing V10 with 500 horespower and around 4sec 0-60 accel times, but with the handling oh my.

Click that link to see the video of a test drive. I took it myself. I was hiding behind the fence for 5 hours just for you Moisey. It's V-10 liter engine with 510 hp and does 0-60 quicker than you can wipe your ass.

Thx for the update, sorry about making you hide in the bushes for 5 hours, but looks like it was worth it, btw how did you manage to get around the track so quick to get all of those varying camera angles?

Looks like a very nice ride, although Im not super impressed with the front scoop, but Im sure once its unveiled properly it will be quite nice.

Then again, V-10 with BMW handling and 500+ horses, what more can you ask for.

Btw, sometimes I can wipe my ass fairly quickly, you'd be surprised.
